Adams is a farming community located along Highway 17. We are 17 miles from Park River and 30 miles from Grafton. Grand Forks is 75 miles away.
The country side is beautiful and you truly see all four seasons! In the summer, the fields bloom with wheat, barley, sunflowers, and more. In the winter, snow covers the land. The roads stay open- we are seldom "trapped" at home because of the weather.
Adams has several great businesses that add to the community. We have a beautiful bank that is a branch of First United Bank. You can't find a more helpful banking staff! We also have a cafe (that also sells milk and a few other groceries) and a bar. Further down Main Street is Farmer's Union. Here you will find the best mechanic in town, hardware and houseware needs, and a few friends to visit with! Across the street is the Post Office (we all get our mail at the Post Office) staffed by the friendlies Postmaster around- JoAnn Bylin. In Adams, there is also a beauty shop and an auditorium for Volleyball games and other events.
The Adams-Edmore school is staffed with seasoned teachers and is committed to small class sizes and individual attention. The elementary school is in Adams, and the 7th-12th graders are bussed to Edmore (17 miles West).
